In August 2013 Earley Engineering Limited purchased a new building and 2 acres of land 19 miles away from our home of the last 20 years at Penlanlas Farm, Abergavenny. The new building is in Kingstone, Herefordshire and provides the company with all the space needed for future expansion on a self contained, secure and discrete site. For many years we have been operating at maximum capacity of 28 Alvis cars at Penlanlas Farm. This new facility moves our capacity to 52 cars, removing the need to rent extra space off site.
We have been through a fairly rapid period of expansion over the last few years, adding to three highly experienced employees who have worked since the 1970’s and 80’s with Alex’s father Nick and exclusively on Alvis cars of all ages. The workforce is now seven plus Managing Director Alex Simpson and Office Manager Marianne Chapman.
This new premises is a more efficient, safe, modern and effective base for us and allows the company to invest in more equipment to provide a better service for Alvis customers from all over the world. Our spray booth facilities will remain at Penlanlas Farm until a new booth is commissioned into the new building but all other operations have moved.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank John and Carol Jones, who provided a fantastic home for Earley Engineering over the years. The team and customers will miss the tranquil and friendly surroundings at Penlanlas Farm.
We welcome visitors by appointment to come and see the Earley Engineering team at work providing a full range of services to Alvis owners from car sales through service and repair work to full ground up restorations to the highest standards.
