A fabulously original and unmolested example of this fine Alvis sports saloon, with matching engineering numbers. Slowly improved by the current owner over many years including a comprehensive engine rebuild to the highest standards just completed by Earley Engineeering Limited and currently being run in.

SOLD – 1965 Alvis TE21 Drophead Coupe with Park Ward coachwork.
One of the most desireable Post-War Alvis, the TE21 was possibly the finest example of the 3 Litre series. Elegant and high quality Mulliner Park Ward coachwork with all the refinements of the final few models to come out of the Alvis car plant.
This particular example has had a long association with Earley Engineering. Subject to a full restoration completed in our workshop 12 years ago the Alvis has performed faultlessly since. The restoration is fully documented with invoices and photographic record.
The TE21 has all the desireable specification items: 5 speed ZF gearbox, power assisted steering and chrome wire wheels. Coachwork is finished in Brewster Green with Butterscotch and green piped leather, beige carpets and hood.

Nicely presented with original Vanden Plas coachwork in dark blue, blue leather and black hood and weather equipment. Original matching numbers throughout.
Rebuilt engine 10 years ago by Earley Engineering with steel crankshaft, steel con rods, forged pistons, etc. The first of the independent front suspension cars with Alvis all synchromesh gearbox and therefore very usable and easy to drive. Overdrive is fitted to this example.
Beautiful, flowing and lightly bodied Vanden Plas was at its very best in the 30’s and some say the early Speed 20 SA/SB examples were the most pleasing designs. Certainly the lightweight Alvis design produced the purest of 1930’s sporting cars.
